“ My sons, their wives, my granchildren and I met my 98 year old mother in law and my brother in law at Barcellos. We now live in central Massachusettes, we lived and I worked in the Fall River area for over 30 years, my wife was from Fall River and was Portugese. We use to visit Barcellos often 30 years ago. Our experience was great, the renovation is amazing, food of course fantastic and the service extrodinary. The owner, John, somehow recognized me from all that time ago came out of the kitchen, greeted me and my family. My young grand children had a great time, were welcomed and had a lot of fun. Great family atmoshere. My 4 year old granddaughter ate almost all of the smelt appetizer and loved the clams. She is definitely Portugese. My mother in-law loved her meal and really enjoyed the clams casino. My youngest son, who is a chef, ordered the pork alejuana, it was my wifes favorite. I never got a taste, he and his girls cleaned the plate. Over the years I have visited all the area restaurants and enjoyed them but for great Portugese food and relaxing family atmoshere Barcellos is the best. And it was a great value for the price. ”

“ FIRST TIME AT THIS restaurant/bar . Went for lunch. Walked in smelled an looked very clean . They have a bar , an separate dining area , They also a private room for functions. I had fish n chips ,small white fish feilts cooked perfectly, their was no cole slaw not sure if was soppose to have it or not .. my buddy had sirloin sandwiches with house potatoes. Portuguese soup (no picture). All food was great .. I didn't eat again until 7 at night an was done on time to get back to work .. ”

Took a month of Sundays before our water came,another month of Sundays before he came back to take our order,when it came,he never asked if we needed anything else. (And we did) He just ran away. Never came back to see if everything was okay. I noticed his coworker cleaning his tables after HIS customers left! What the heck was this kid doing? We gave him the benefit of the doubt that it was probably his first day. ”
